Everyone has a Terrain. Find a TB.
To be honest, it became a timing and value proposition for me. I really like both vehicles. I need an AWD daily driver that I can fit 2 car seats in the back seat while I'm driving. The space in the Trailblazer surprised me and its a fun vehicle. That being said, ride quality and cabin noise is definitely better in the Terrain. Price also started playing a part because what started out as a fairly large price difference (40k for Terrain and 33k for Trailblazer MSRP), rebates and the GMC dealer offering way more for my trade-in than the Chevy dealer ended up making the price difference 3k. Still, I haven't taken delivery yet. Waiting on vehicle to come in from a sister dealership. Maybe that'll get screwed up and I'll be scrambling to find something before month's end. If that ends up being the case, I'd still consider the Trailblazer.

I actually had my foot on the brakes to check for oncoming traffic when I heard the popping sound
This popping sound happens to me with the auto start/stop. For example, say I am in stop and go traffic and I have to hit the gas before the TB has time to auto shut off, the popping sounds will happen about 70% of the time. It's incredibly loud but I have found that if I turn it off in slow traffic (which I shouldn't have to do) it is fine or wait for the car to auto shut off completely before pressing the gas (which can cause me to delay traffic in a big city, haha). It's something that I have definitely come aware of and its the first vehicle I've owned or have been around that has the capability to do auto start/stop. Hoping it won't cause any issues in the future but just best to try and avoid it happening. This might be a similar situation for you guys that you may not have thought of. Hope it helps.

We have not had the popping issue in some time after happening 4 or so times. I turn off auto start when I drive it, Wife leaves it on, she is the only one that has heard the popping.

I've reported it but they want to replicate it each time I bring it to the dealership and its even in the shop today and I mentioned it. I swear Murphy's law is real. This is the third time I've brought it in. Even though it's only for the Jack Recall, I told them to look at it.. again. I'll see what happens this time.

I have had the same problem. I took it in and of course like mentioned above it didn't happen when they had it ... but it happened when I turned the corner to drop it off. How frustrating. I didn't know you could report it to the mentioned above, I will do that now. Thanks, I am glad it's not just me.

I have a 2021 Trailblazer and have this happen to me maybe once or twice a month. Maybe more often since I live in an urban area and stop/go a bunch. You're not alone! It's loud enough in mine I've considered trading it in for something else. Mine has mostly been through AM/FM radio or if I'm using Bluetooth.
