So my service manager said bring that car in right away I brought it in the next morning I explained the problem to the advisor and I told him Jeff the service manager knew I was bringing the vehicle in that he needed to escalate it right away rather than do that the advisor drove it around for 2 weeks texted me and said he can't find a problem I said well I can't take the car back it's got a problem so low and behold the service manager jumps on it hasn't fixed in an hour after he put it on a tech scan it was a ground wire incorrectly installed in South Korea at the assembly plant you know how many headaches that cause my family and then to top it off we got the car back two weeks later and there were cigarette ashes and it smelled so gross of smoke I couldn't stand it. So anybody that owns a 2024 Trailblazer Rally Sport you might want to be careful because it doesn't show any faults or anything it just happens and if you're at a light or if you're at a icy road or a snowstorm you're in the dark buddy for at least 10 minutes
Our new 2024 Trailblazer rally sport totally went dead when we put on the brakes at a stoplight stop sign in the driveway in the middle of a storm and it was a ground wire incorrectly installed at the South Korean Assembly Plant meanwhile my daughter almost got killed a couple times because of it and they don't seem to really care. And when it does it the whole car is out for at least 10 minutes before it finally starts

Hi guys, new to Trailblazer but not to Chevy. Just purchased a new 2024 Trailblazer RS FWD in Sterling Gray Metallic and have enjoyed it up until today. We were on a short trip (75 mi) to visit my daughter when out of the blue, everything on the DIC and Infotainment screen went black, along with satellite radio and OnStar but did have FM radio but was unable to get anything to work on DIC and touch screen. All DIC and touch screen were blank.

Stayed black for roughly 10 seconds and came back on. 5 or so min later, did the same thing again, over and over for about 6-10 times. I stopped the car and turned off the engine, opened the door and let the vehicle set for about 10 mins and restarted. Everything came back to normal for a few miles until it decided to do it again. Anyone have this same issue happen? I already have an appt. scheduled at the dealer.
What did they tell you? My dealership said I was being delusional.

My 2024 Chevrolet TrailBlazer Rally Sport when you hit the brakes it totally went dead everything no flash or nothing my daughter was in a red light at night she almost got rear-ended it ended up being ground wire that was incorrectly installed at the assembly plant in South Korea you know how much headaches that caused our family it did it four times took them 2 weeks and the only reason why they finally found the problem is because the advisor told me it was ready to go it wouldn't repeat the problem I said no it's not ready to go cuz I'm not taking the car back till you find the problem he then escalated it to the service manager which he was supposed to do when I brought it in service manager had it fixed in an hour after you hooked a tech scan on it..
Very interesting. While I haven't had any failures on my 2024 RS with 6,000 mi, I have had a few instances where the brake pedal would not depress for me to be able to start it. I had to tap it a couple of times before it went down. I've had about eight instances of this in the 5 months I've owned it. I took it in for the first free servicing and mentioned this issue to the service person. As expected, they could not reproduce it/NTF.

My 2024 RS SLAMS on the brakes on the highway using adaptive cruise. It's done it 4 times on the highway. Thankfully there was no BIG truck behind me. I was told by Hare Chevy service that there's nothing they can do about it! How is this not a massive safety issue???

Sounds like a bad sensor to me. So far my adaptive cruise control has worked flawlessly and has saved me from at least two possible accidents due to drivers jumping in front of me or one instance where I was almost pushed off the road.

1700 miles ago, the dealer serviced it, rotated tires, reset and all tires were at ~37. Now one is 32, others 34.
Same here. I’ve been experiencing many issues. Sometimes no sound with the music, collision light is no longer working, my seatbelts won’t lock in when brakes are hit. I noticed that when I had to stop suddenly. I turned vehicle off but it registered as if I was trying to start. My backup camera doesn’t show lines at times, front camera displays an error to clean windshield because of blockage but nothing was blocking it. I’ve been recording and taking pictures.

Had the same exact issue on a brand new (less than 200 mi!) 2024 LT. Took me finding this site and several trips to service center. Finally the service manager checked the ground issue you listed, identified it, and it was fixed in minutes!!!
If anyone is experiencing this issue, I recommend having their service center check the torque on the ground connection....
My service manager said it will likely wind up in a service bulletin for them.
Thanks for sharing your experience!!! saved me tons of headaches.

They were smoking in your car? In my book, that's grounds for an expensive lawsuit. We don't smoke and that crap makes us sick. You will never get it cleaned out. Maybe they would like to trade your smoky car for a clean one and then fire the service tech who did the smoking.

I'm having some of the same issues with my Activ. Can you give specifics to the cause & fix. I've been keeping a log of all of the "quirks" because the dealership kept it for a weekend & couldn't "recreate" the issue.

I have a 2023 Rs and since August it has been causing me issues. First was the starter, then the rear end modular, then the radiator, ground wire , and now the flywheel. The car has been in the shop since October 29th

Geezers... I never had car issues that bad even with used ones. So far, our 2024 with 8,000 miles is going strong, knock on wood.

I understand where you're coming from but back then they weren't using 0W20 oil or synthetics of any kind.

It's not just GM/Chevrolet. Read this:

Oil Consumption: It May Be a Normal Characteristic
Some Chrysler applications reflect the following oil consumption rates:
  • One quart per 2,000 miles for the first 50K miles.
  • Engines over 50K miles…one quart per 750 miles.
  • One quart per 500 miles during aggressive driving or heavily loaded conditions.
Some imports reflect one quart of oil every 750 miles as being an acceptable oil consumption rate.

and this:

5 Things to Know About Oil Changes for Your Car
Our mechanics recommend checking at least once a month or ideally every other gas fill-up. Don’t assume that a new car is exempt from this maintenance chore. Consumer Reports reliability survey results have shown that even newer cars can need the oil to be topped off between changes.
Back in the sixties, when I worked at my father's stations, any car getting gas routinely got the oil checked. Every fill-up. The best oil you could get then was worse than today's crankcase sludge. Back then, people had NO problem with the idea of changing their oil every 2,000 to 3,000 miles. Now people squawk at the idea of having to change it at 10,000 miles. Car makers tell you it is OK simply because they are being forced to keep improving MPG. That 0.01 MPG improvement won't begin to save the money lost to oil burning.

My current car is way past 200,000 miles and it does not use any oil between 7K oil changes with Mobil-1 full synthetic. The dipstick is still on the full mark.

Yeah if i got my vehicle back after 3 weeks with all the added mileage and cigarettes smoke. NO WAY. Definitely would not leave that dealership without a solution whether it be a total cleaning at there expense or a Gift card to have it done. That should not be allowed and I woukd totally be flipping out.. if the service manager won't help ask for the supervisor and keep going up til you get a resolution. Tell them you are going to go on Yelp and Google and give them a bad review...

Good, I am glad someone with an iPhone has no problems.

Next will be...

Do you use Spotify? Do you stream audio via Blutooth?

I have a suspicion, my wife does not stream anything, my daughter, as a late teen, she streams constantly.

My suspicion is the application Spotify might have some "issues" with the infotainment because not only stream audio, streams an interface (video) for the touchscreen (send & receive commands).
I use spotify and never had that issue on a 22 TB

Pictures on some of the issues.
If there is any moisture or frost on the windshield or grille, that warning will pop up. Also, your remote battery may be going dead and the car can't detect it. I've found that sometimes resetting a BCM, or the ECM by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, can cure a lot of these little electronic bugs.

Did you find out the issue? My Chevy Trailblazer is doing the same thing. Only 1700 miles on it. Dealer appointment is in a few days but I’m worried they won’t be able to replicate the issue. It’s happened to me 3 times at stoplights.
