The Trax can be all wheel drive. I am in the process of getting one.
The new redesigned 2024 Trax is only FWD, but the old one had AWD as an option.

Hi all! Recently had a check engine light come on and refuses to go away.... anyone else run into this code? I have seen other posts on here about replacing the vapor canister valve and pump. I have replaced the valve a few days ago but light is still shining bright after clearing multiple times. Even stole the gas cap off my truck and put on the tb with the light popping back up after resetting codes. Sadly over 42k.. over warranty I believe
Power Train warranty should cover it 5yrs/50,000miles.

GM is aware of this problem code….my TB is short of the 45k and I took it for diagnostic and repair…. At first the service advisor treated me like why would they fix it so after I “agreed” to pay the diagnostic fee if different code would arise he scanned it and confirmed that the code was the one I was telling them…. He still was like he wouldn’t believe it and when he checked in the computer he was like well….. you’ll need to leave it at least 3 days so it could be repaired….ultimately I took it early next Monday and they called me at the end of the day saying that I could pick it up….hope you don’t come across this feeling of begging to repair your TB…. You shouldn’t be charge for the repair of your p1467 code….. purge pump canister or something in that neighborhood …. That if that’s the code youre still getting when you scan it….. you might want to take it to Auto zone or oreally….. they don’t charge for a scan of your check engine light ….

GM will not charge you for a diagnostic or repair if that is the code. It is a purge pump, NOT the canister. A common failure with an extended warranty by GM for 15 years, or 150k. If you read this topic thoroughly, this has been stated numerous times.

mine just failed on my '21 just at 29k miles (and just 2 weeks outside of the 3 year warranty). I havent had it fixed yet, however the dealer did confirm that the part has a conditional warranty on it and will be covered up to 150k miles.
Go online and Google "N232395310 Evaporative Emission Purge Pump". It's a letter that was supposed to have been mailed to ALL owners of the affected models. (I never received one). It's a Special Coverage letter directing GM Dealers to replace the Pumps at NO COST (Assuming MDI2 Code P1467). I'll try to attach a copy. The one-time replacement "warranty" is 15 years of 150K miles.
I take my 21 ACTIV in tomorrow for replacement (assuming the dealer has the right part). I'm taking a printed copy of the (attached) letter with me; if the Dealership waffles, I'll request that the Service Manager SIGN the front of the letter, which I will then use when I contact the NTSB, GM, and the local new media outlets.

I bought a purge pump (made in China) off Ebay hoping it'd solve my problem and so my wife had the remote start feature working again since it's winter here, -40 f this a.m.! Anyway, the part failed to solve the problem & keep the engine light off. My mechanic buddy got his hands on a Genuine GM pump and it fixed it! The box the GM pump came in said "Country of Origin USA" so that's great to know! The original pump was made in Korea, so my advice is stay away from the Asian-made one's if you replace one outside of the dealership. I'm in the process of submitting an invoice to GM for re-imbursement, so hopefully they'll pay the bill. I only had to pay cost for it at $82, China made ones are about 1/2 that, but... On another note, I wanted to share that we hooked up the scanner after replacing the pump and incredibly, those things spin at over 42k RPM'S! Scanner said 43k was ideal rpm. It's no wonder these things fail, as all internals are plastic & rubber, spinning that fast. I can change a purge pump now in about 5-7 minutes, anyhow!
Hey there! This is such a long shot.. but I'm gonna try it! Lol. There are ZERO videos on how to change this pump. Can you help me figure out how you did it so quickly? Dealership wants to keep the car for weeks and I have to get to work. I want to do it myself like you! Any advice?? Man, I pray you see this 😊

You need evaporative emission purge pump to fix your vehicle. Trust me. The part number has been changed several times. Go for the warranty
I called service dept @ my Chevy dealership about this Code..was told not under warranty. (had 51k). Should this have been covered? And is this a fairly easy fix, without going to a shop?

If you are a 2021 model with the purge issues it is COVERED. GM issued a extended warranty on 2021 models only for up to 150k miles or 10 years whatever comes first. from date the car went into service new.
