is it true GM will release an update for wireless apple carplay in LT trims?

Wireless carplay had been announced a while back as becoming a standard feature which will boost the cars price by about$100
Where did you hear there would be an update?

I just assumed because I noticed the car dealership was advertising all the LT trims with wireless CarPlay.

Pretty sure there is no update. You either buy one with or without the necessary package that includes wireless carplay. It's possible all the LT's the dealership had were already equipped.

ooh hmmm, it listed it on the car I bought. I can't find any option for it in my car though. I guess I will have to go to the dealership soon!

I was just looking through a factory sales brochure and noticed wireless Apple CarPlay is standard on all trim levels, so yes you do have it. Sorry for any confusion I caused.

I saw that too. That was for older GM vehicles made before 2020 that had wired connection for Apple & Android. I guess it was possible to upgrade them to wireless, but GM said no.

Im sure it's in the owners manual, but have you tried plugging it in first so that the system recognizes your phone?

I bought such a head unit and a CarPlay (wireless) for my Trailblazer.

Works together perfectly

My LT came wireless carplay as well. However I find the music works better hardwired, it seems to drop on the wireless carplay.

How did you get the wireless to work. I can’t figure it out. The manual didn’t help out at all.

these instructions are for an iPhone

Go to your settings -> general -> CarPlay

Delete your car, by clicking on it and then forget this car and the follow the instructions below

Yes I have a fully loaded LT. And it’s on auto update.

I bought the 2021 TB AWD Activ but my Wireless Carplay is NOT enabled (mine was Built 8/2020) following this thread just in case at any time in the future a hack or update occurs to enable it! I am beyond irritated by this!

yes! my TB is built from 8/2020 and they specifically told me it had the wireless carplay. It was like a huge selling point to them. Cant figure it out still.
