With the car market out of control right now, many car companies like Carvana and GM dealerships are offering crazy money for used cars. I just received an offer from the Chevrolet dealership that we bought our Trailblazer from. We paid $28k for our fully loaded AWD RS and were just offered $36k. That's an $8k profit which is crazy and very hard to ignore at the same time. We don't really need the Trailblazer since we have a low mileage 18 Colorado ZR2, an 05 Blazer ZR2 which runs great and a 22 C8 Corvette on order. I'll be honest we're really considering the offer.

Anybody else out there receiving crazy offers like this?

Just tried Carvana and they offered $32000 giving me a $7000 profit.

It's tempting, but considering none of the dealers in my area have much right now I'll have to pass for now at least.
It seems like most offers are falling in the $5k-$8k range over what was originally paid. If we didn't have other vehicles to use I wouldn't even consider the offer because we do like the Trailblazer. It does everything we needed and hasn't had any problems other than needing some software updates.

$35-$36k for RS AWD 2 weeks ago. I can't wait to get rid of this turd. I honestly think it's the slowest vehicle iv ever come across.
I take it, you have never driven a Mitsubishi Outlander. I have driven these on two separate occasions this year, and I would not drive one again. The second time that was all that was left. I was not going to wait for someone to turn something else in. I find my TB fun to drive. V8 power? No, but way more fun than my 2nd gen Equinox.

I did see where Carvana had a 2021 LS model listed for $29,900 with like 5k miles. 1.2L w/ CVT Makes me believe my AWD LT must be worth low 30's to them:D If they want to pay me that much for it, I will sell it and buy a new one for less.

I rented an Outlander this past October in Houston, that car is a total piece of crap. On the second day my son suggested we drive to IAH to swap it out lol. I didn't want to drive the 2 hours round trip and we sucked it up.

You see I find this funny because , I tried to pass a ford v8 that was lifted and big wheels muffler delete . And I couldn’t pass him . But he couldn’t pass me either , I can tell he was flooring jt because of the sound . Red lining his tachometer. And I was dying of laughter , he seemed stupid pissed.
trust me the 155 HP Motor is enough to get around. I have driven slower , and I’m happy with it . Yes there is faster but to keep up with traffic as a daily and pop in and out of traffic is good enough. Now if your doing 90+ MOVING IN AND OUT OF TRAFFIC, then this is clearly not the car for you.

90 in and out of traffic gets you bagged up here in New England but I digress. If that's the performance you're looking for buy a Lexus CUV ... those things are very powerful. I see a lot of Audi's up here too but the German parts are pricey once you need maintenance.

When I have to pull over to the shoulder to merge cause the TB has zero power its time to let it go. I love everything else about it. I just wish it at least had a 4 cylinder turbo option. Might actually get the gas mileage they claim as well. Incase going up a small grade at 68 mph with a whopping 9 mpg. So not only is it a turd motor with zero mods you can do it doesn't even get good or claimed mpg

Maybe there is something wrong with your Trailblazer? I have driven high performance cars/trucks my whole life and while the Trailblazer isn't even close to being a performance vehicle it also doesn't have any problems merging into traffic or passing another vehicle. If you're only getting 9mpg then somethings not right.

you have the 1.2 or 1.3. For the RS (mine) the estimated overall mpg is 28. I've had mine for 4 months. My average overall is 27.4. (I have never had a need to put it into AWD yet and know that will lower the mpg further). So I've been matching the sticker quite nicely. Not many cars get the exact overall they put on the sticker. My previous car (Equinox) was estimated 27mpg. I average 24.5. The "average" they come up with on the sticker assumes that you are driving 55 percent of the time in the city and 45 percent of the time on the highway AT 55MPG!!!! Not very many of us meet these standards of percentage and of speed limits. The EPA is satisfied if your car comes within up to 20% of what they post on the sticker. The real purpose of the numbers is not so much accuracy but to allow shoppers to compare one car to another. Also consider that in the case of an SUV which allow you to select 2wd to Awd the numbers posted are in 2wd mode. You will get less in AWD. And the final consideration is not just speed but also how many passengers and additional weight you have inside the car.

My wife 's AWD LT 1.3L is driven about 80 percent highway at 68-69 mph and we are averaging 34 mpg. This is with the winter snow tires and average outside temp of 30-45 degrees F. In the summer we were averaging 36 mpg. The vehicle has plenty of power for daily driving and merging.

Totally agree about the power, merging, etc. As I drive my TB, both on highway and around town I often wonder why so many reviews with power complaints. I had an Equinox prior and I honestly don't feel the TB is lagging in any way. Merges okay for me, quick enough for normal driving around town, etc.

Just an update to the gas mileage. The weather has dropped to between 0 degrees F and 30 degrees F and the winds are between 30-40 mph average. the gas mileage has dropped off to between 29 and 32 mpg. This is about the average it has dropped with all previous vehicle the last one being a 2015 Cruze 1.4T that got about 36 mpg summer and 29-30 mpg in the winter months.

Not too bad for the type of winter you are describing. Here in upstate New York we have had some temps like yours (although no 30 or 40 mph winds of any consistency). I don't even look at my mpg during winter. It is so influenced by things like using the remote start each day to warm up the car (getting ZERO mpg), the colder temps, the winter gas (different additives), the road conditions (lots of snowy or ice-covered roads in the mornings and traffic is slowed), etc.

I think your Trailblazer is broken 😅. Seriously.
I drive the interstate to and from work usually 75-80mph and have no problems merging or passing anyone. Seems effortless. I drive in the city a lot too since I live in town. My average mph is around 32mpg.

Sounds like something is wrong with your vehicle
