HI everyone,

Just bought my new 2021 Trailblazer here in Tampa FL last Friday. Cannot get it to read my music USB drives. It says No Content. Do I need to take this car back to the dealer or am I doing something wrong? The info screen sees the drive and lets me select it. Then it says no content.

You are not the first to have issues with USB, there is another thread here about it and if I recall no resolution was found.

Now working perfectly! Yesterday at work I formatted a USB 3.0 drive NTFS. I erased and formatted a USB 2.0 drive FAT32. Then I put a couple of MPG songs on them and a couple of OGG file songs on them. After work I first inserted the USB 3.0 NTFS drive in. The car recognized the OGG file song and started playing it. I then inserted the USB 2.0 drive formatted FAT32. The Car now recognized both the MPG and OGG file songs and played them. I am wondering if my car received a wireless update from Chevrolet while I was at work. All I know is now it works perfectly where before it was telling me no content. It is also interesting that the car did not recognize the MPG songs on the NTFS drive just the OGG file songs. Anyway it works perfectly now with FAT32 so I will just use that.

I have done more testing. The only thing that seems to work every time is a USB 3.0 drive formatted NTFS and using OGG files instead of MP3. Not a problem for me since it is easy to convert MP3 to OGG. FAT32 with MP3 is hit and miss. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't

I'm in Tampa as well. Bought mine at Jim Browne Chevrolet 3 weeks ago! I've yet to see another Trailblazer!

From your home screen tap you music icon, then tap more, then tap mass storage and you should be able to play whatever is on your flash drive.

True. The important part is this:

I just formatted SD Card to that NTFS and then copied and pasted all my MP3 files onto it and it works great. Thanks people for the advice above.
Switch to NTFS and you’re golden.

You need to format your drive by selecting NTFS. Don’t do the exfat. It won’t work. Also, it appears that some song downloads will work while others won’t. AAC WORKS.
