yea ordering one to your liking may be a thing of the past for ahile.
I ordered one back in January and currently waiting for GM to accept the order. I guess it's safe to say it's not going to be happening. Going to have to call the dealership in the morning, I'm glad I saw this!Tried to order a Trailblazer and told not accepting orders. The dealer explained the new dealer ‘port order’ process. Does anyone know, if they are going accept customers order some time in the future?
the thing is this is NOT a GM problem only. All car dealers experience this problem, even foreign brands. For examle I just checked my Honda dealer. They have only 10 NEW vehicles in stock. FIVE of them are the HRV, 3 are trucks. On the other hand our local Toyota dealer has 56 new vehicles in stock. 56! Our local Chevrolet dealer had 31 new in stock, but 28 were trucks. It is about time GM got their act together before the start loosing customers permanently, and end up in bankruptcy again begging for another bailout. They have milked the supply chain issue long enough that if it was a real problem they should have come up with a solution by now. Hell if they can't supply finished cars due to the "Chip Shortage" it would seem that they should at least be able to supply body parts. I have been waiting many months now for a replacement hood to replace mine which was damaged a chunk of ice landed on it.
