So, planning on a trip soon and decided to call the dealership where we purchased our Trailblazer to ask about the recall. Had to leave a voicemail. Called back and asked the lady on the phone about the recalled. She said she could schedule a service visit. I asked her to check to see if the replacement jack is available before making an appointment. A few minutes later she replies back, that no it is not available. She also says I can make an appointment so they can remove my jack. Really? I told her, no I am over 20 miles away, I will just not use it.

got my recall letter and scheduled an "appointment" at local dealership. they wanted to take the vehicle to the service bay and have a "technician" remove the jack. i laughed then opened the back hatch and handed her the jack. of course no replacement available at this time.
