I was reading the manual tonight and discovered something I don’t think is common knowledge. You can tailor the infotainment screens by dragging and dropping the icons. I rearranged the Home Screen on mine to just have the most useful icons and moved the rest to the second screen. All you need to to do is press down and hold the icon for a few seconds and then you can drag and drop the icon to where you want it.
Here’s an example of how I changed my Home Screen

I wouldn’t say it’s a stupid question, there’s a lot of technology to figure out on this car. The apps are added thru the ‘Apps’ icon on the infotainment screen in the car. Scroll over and you’ll see the Apps icon, tap it and It will bring up a screen with the apps that can be installed. Right now there aren’t a lot of apps. to add. Maybe with later updates more will be added.

I just got my vehicle today, and I don't have an Apps icon on my infotainment screen. Is that a feature that comes in one of the packages? I have an LT with the Confidence, Convenience and Sun & Liftgate packages.

The Apps icon is probably on another screen. If you look there are little circles on the bottom of the screen. They represent the screens. Touch and hold the screen and swipe left or right and you will see the other screens. The apps icon should be on one of the other screens.

I have only two screens I can swipe between.

There's no Apps icon on either screen.

I’m surprised, I thought adding apps was a standard feature across all trims levels. I thought all the TBs had this option.

Ah well, not something I used much in my my Encore but still believe it should be there for all users and not be behind a paywall that you cant even buy after you have the vehicle. I guess the work around is having Apple CarPlay.

If you're Canadian there's only like 4 total apps (Amazon, Spotify, Weather, and a radio one I think) and you can't use any of them without a data plan for the car as well. So you aren't missing much so far.

Yea I think I called up the weather app a couple times on my Encore so yea not missing much, surprised there is no weather app in Apple CarPlay
