A stop sale order has been given for several GM models, including the Trailblazer. This means that there is most likely a recall in process. This one is in regards to the brake boost system. The GM campaign number for this forthcoming recall will be A202307260.

Now I have to wonder if the SERVICE CHASSIS message my wife saw last week is related to this recall that is coming. Got to wonder if we should park the car since this does involve the BRAKES.

What exactly does "If the sensors can't get accurate information, the brakes will not function as intended" mean? That's a very vague statement. Are we talking about complete brake failure or less assist meaning the brakes will feel like old school non power brakes? It would be nice to know the risk.

I believe what I read is that they do not have a fix, nor the parts to fix. I am pretty sure there is a recall been submitted, as it affects other models like the Encore GX and Corvette. It may take some time to finalize The recall campaign. I just hope it doesn’t become an issue like the Ford Mustang, where the brake pedals are breaking off

It is also a issue on like 3 or 4 Caddy's. I will not be pleased if my TB starts showing symptoms and I feel I have to PARK IT till they can fix it. They will be giving us a loaner car. With this hurting the Vette community and that cars over all image I think they will work quick to resolve it.

I received a GM safety recall letter. It is for recall A202307260 and in bold letters it states Parts to repair your vehicle are not currently available.
It will involve replacing the electronic brake boost module. Another letter will be sent once parts are available.

It basically says there may have been a contamination of material during the production process.

It goes on to say,
If communication with the sensor is interrupted, electronics brake boost assist could be lost. If electronic brake boost assist is lost, a warning light and message may appear in the instrument panel and vehicle speed may be limited. Extra pedal force would be required to slow and stop the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

So had this happen to me last night. Was funny I was driving was just cruising the cluster of messages pops up and my brake pedal is dead I mind you completely dead. It actually forces the parking brake to lightly engage and you will have no instant stopping power period. If this happens immediately hit your hazards pull over and turn the car off for a few then turn it back on. You will still have the CEL triggered but the module will reset and you will have your brakes back again.

This appears to be a serious recall issue, and one that should be communicated swiftly to current owners (We have not yet received any recall letter for our TB). I checked my TB vin on a recall search thing and it came up clean. Maybe I am not part of this one?
I just checked mine again on the Chevy site and no recalls for me either. Maybe the early production models like ours were actually built right, lol. 😁 🤞
