I placed the order and now it's been almost two weeks so I called and got ahold of my salesman and he now tells me that Chevy isn't even accepting orders yet, much less putting them in a build line.
I emailed him yesterday early to ask some specifices, like does he have any idea at all when they will be accepting orders or does he know if the plant is even opened up yet. I think he only works a few days a week because it always takes him a couple of days to get back to answer any questions. I've tried calling a couple of other dealerships to ask and I have gotten the same answers at two different dealers.
A. They won't let you talk to anyone except a salesman when you call
B. Two different salesmen swear up and down to me that the Trailblazer is built in North America (one salesman) Michigan(said the 2nd salesman) I even specified the trailblazer, not the blazer.
C. Production was never slowed or stopped at any South Korea plants (after I made them google to see where it was made)

There is another dealership about 250 miles from me that has what I want "in transit" but they are selling it at MSRP price minus the current 550 from chevy.
Oasis Blue RS AWS every option known to man.

My dealership has also had no luck getting a dealership from a neighboring state to trade with them.

I was wondering if any of you dealt with a dealership that could at least answer normal questions about the car.

Thank you.
Tina

What state are you in? I know John L Sullivan Chevrolet in Roseville California has the one you want. I was just there last night picking up my cargo mat and they had one. You might be able to work out transfer between dealerships?

These are hard to come by right now. greater Cincy area they are scare overall. One lot may have several the next none. I tripped across what we wanted at a dealer. It was 3 weeks before it finally got to the dealer. There's was already invoiced to them so there were getting it. So they had it forsale on their site. I got on a chat with chevy.com and told them my vin and asked where the car was at. I got lucky, it was at the dealer the day I asked about it. I was told that to order one you are looking at months to wait. I was told they were running one shift only. And yes they ARE MADE IN S Korea.

All orders are on hold due to the recall that affects 2020+ Camaro, Corvette, 2021 Buick Encore and 2021 Trailblazers.

Some of us may have noticed intermittent CEL triggers that give you a heart attack recently this was triggered last sunday when the recall officially went live at dealerships by OnStar it will say many things such as engine power reduced speed limited to 46mph this is a fake CEL triggered by OnStar not your onboard ECM directly due to parts failure. If you have no OnStar enabled you likely won't get this issue but most of us are still in the free subscription phase.

CEL? Tell me more!
Side note: anyone notice a determined brake screech; happens in Reverse doing about 1-2 mph?
No screeching from the brakes the CEL will trigger 3 or 4 messages on your DIC (Display) will give the reduced engine power 46mph limit. Brake Failure message and Stability Control malfunction sometimes the service chasis message will trigger with it if you've gotten that code before. These are false messages from OnStar and only occur on ignition not while driving if they occur while driving immediately take them seriously. You can clear the codes using any OBD2 scanner or smartphone bluetooth app you will need the car in the accessory power state not fully turned on engine running state to clear the CELs after about 2 or 3x the message stops displaying every few ignition cycles.

I'm due for my free oil change before october is over so I'll get back to you on what promises to be a very shitty long dealership visit.

Panda- awesome reply! Thanks so much!! I’ll keep my eye out for the OnStar error message: that’s a first I hear of it but maybe only a few have the issue, hopefully.

Know any hidden tricks? Or
Where to look for super soup’d up ones? Think SS inspired 21TB’s

So the Recall thing for the brakes is live now. My dealer will have parts to fix it?

I have not had a NEW car since 1993. If this recall takes more than an afternoon to fix should I expect them to give me a loaner car? I too will be getting my oil changed for the first time also.

I just went to a GM website for recalls, nothing listed for my TB. I have had the service chassis warning light pop up once my wife has seen it while driving.

The recall went live, do they have the parts who knows if they have them on hand or need to order them. The chassis msg is not a concern as long as your differential/driveshaft didn't go boom. It's the two computers experiencing a delay in communication. I'm not an expert I've only done novice lvl tuning and diagnostic on my past Camaros but all these things do translate between all brands and models. I've also checked with a few dealership friends across the country and they are seeing the same thing.

There really is no suping these things up William's Redtop RS you'd likely need everything custom fabricated these aren't your old TBs and GM isn't offering much support I mean just look at the lack of crossbars for the accessories they sell...

I called my dealer he saw no recall for the car for the brake issue for my TB. Perhaps not all TB will be in the recall?

It's all TBs they have a stop sale order in place doesn't mean all dealerships will listen especially given how bad the Covid19 hysteria damaged their sales. In my vast time dealing with dealerships as a customer and supplier I can easily say most service advisors are not very knowledgeable and lack the ability to find recalls or TSBs unless you bring in the printed forms for them. This recall was done by the NHTSA and vastly outranks GM decisions this why OnStar is triggering the CELs to get people into dealerships or repair shops quicker. I'll be frank your advisor likely doesn't know there are 2 different engines in the TB if you asked him before you asked about an issue much like most advisors and salesman to this day don't know there's a 4 cylinder camaro since 2016. I actually ran into this when I traded mine in for the TB the damn sales manager didn't even know.... I'll try to find the recall for you and post it tomorrow.

GM NHTSA STOP SALE RECALL

So if and when you get this CEL take pictures of your DIC display of all the pages should be 3 or 4 warnings and bring them in with your TB. The CEL may turn off after a few ignition cycles, and yes GM is required to furnish a loaner car but will not he liable or likely to if you don't have proof with pictures if the CEL isn't still on when you arrive.

Thank you!
I’ll keep this as the commuter and for the race in my veins, my wife’s Camaro will do just fine for now until I convince her we should get the Blazer! :)

When I put my VIN in to see if it is part of the recall it does not come up.
