Start/Stop Eliminator Available

There have been a number of threads on here discussing the possibility of disabling the auto stop feature without having to press the button every time you start the car. I made this post about a company that made a device to remember the last setting, but they needed a volunteer vehicle. As far as I can tell they are still waiting for a test vehicle, but someone recently posted in the Facebook group about the same device made by a different company (4D tech).

I did not want to post without trying it out first as I had never heard anything about the company. So, I ordered one recently and it's perfect. The shipping was quick and the installation was astonishingly simple.

EDIT 6/8/22: Before purchasing, see Gypsy833's comments.
Worked for about a month, now it won’t even let you choose disable by pushing the button. Always lets the car turn off no matter what now.
He has also reported a poor customer service response. While this is the only such issue I am aware of, I felt it was proper to note it here.

You can order one here for $99.99. It's a bit pricey, but I think well worth it if, like me, you turn off auto stop every time you drive. Installation video is below to show how easy it is. I should note that this does not work for the sport mode button, if you like to use that you'll have to continue pressing the button every time you drive. Also, this does not eliminate the auto stop feature entirely in that you can still turn it back on with the button if you'd like.

It doesn’t work. Worked for about a month, now it won’t even let you choose disable by pushing the button. Always lets the car turn off no matter what now. Exact opposite of what it should be.
Aggravating.
No issues here, did you reach out to the company you purchased it from yet ?
Reached out, and sent a video. Crickets. It did work for a few weeks, so dunno what happened
For anyone following this thread.

4dtech finally got back to me and wants me to send the defective part back. Even though I sent a video that clearly shows I’m not lying and it’s Not functioning.

So I have to spend around 20 bucks to send a 100 dollar part back instead of then just sending me another.

poor customer service in my opinion.

Stay tuned on how long it takes to get a replacement and if the replacement does the same thing
Thx for the update will stay tuned.
Thats a bummer, i almost ordered this part. but i guess i will follow this and see what happens.

Sorry to hear about your experience. Thank you though for the updates. I hope that everything goes smoothly from here for you and it ends up being just a one-off case of bad luck. However, to err on the safe side, I'm going to make a note in the OP in case this would dissuade someone from buying. I'll be sure to let everyone know if I run into any issues as well. After ~1.5 months, no problems for me so far. 🤞

Update.

they finally sent me a replacement. I’m not going to install it. If anyone wants to buy it let me know. Not worth me installing it. Tried to get a refund…nope.

Very poor customer service
You should also post this in the 'For Sale" section.

I might be interested if the price is right. im kinda hesitant considering the issues you have had with them though.
I’d sell it for half price if someone wants to take a chance on it, but it should likely just be thrown away.

Must be the heat outside but, I am failing to grasp why you want to sell a product at “half price” or for any $$$ that doesn’t work and the company has “very poor customer service”. Please help me understand this logic. Like you said, throw it out!

The one I installed is still working well and I haven't heard of any other people with issues. I understand why gypsy doesn't want to take another chance, but it's very likely this was a rare issue. If I didn't have one already, I'd take the discount at those odds.

Don’t want to, but I would. Like I said, it’s brand new if someone wants to take the chance. But I’ll likely just toss it

be warned people. maybe this was isolated and the replacement is fine but I’m not going to bother
