Sirius XM Free trial

I'm not sure if many people know this but I thought I'd share here. If you have a free trial of Xm and it's about to expire, if you call them and ask for them to put you on a promo rate they will. I've been on a promo rate since 2015 paying about $5-$6/month. I just call them when it's about to end and ask them to put me on a new one for another 6 months or a year, whichever they offer.

No idea why anyone would pay full price, it’s like pulling teeth to have them let you cancel your service. My problem with them recently is even though you get the promo forever they started charging a music royality fee of over $20 every 6 months I believe and don’t tell you it’s that much until you get the bill.
They did raise the fee but only by a couple dollars. I just renewed again and the fee was around $5 for the Select package with the promo rate. I believe the Royalty rate is 21% of the total bill. Unless for some reason you are paying around $100 every 6 months your Royalty fee should not be $20.
I had considered subscribing to XM after my free trial but now that we have wireless carplay I opted to lay my phone on the charge pad and listen to my Pandora. I'm only interested in listening to music so this works for me. If you are someone who does a lot of driving or has a lean data plan this option may not suit you since is does draw from your phone data but from my experience it doesn't use much data.

Your right, I was thinking it was for 6 months, It was for a full year and not $20. So I guess not all that bad.
