Shift to park error message

Hey all. I have a ‘21 RS, and the shift to park message comes up and beeps every time I shut the car off. My dealer has a part supposedly ordered, but who knows when it will come in. Is there a way to disable this until I can get my car fixed? I’m spending 4-5 minutes each time I shut the car off trying to get it to stop. I rattle the shifter, push the side button on the shifter, turn the car on shift then shift to park..sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t. I’m taking it on a road trip next week don’t want this bothering me, but I guess at this point it will.

So after 60 days dealership (after I contacted them) told me the shifter assy was in. Made an appt for the Friday Oct 27th. Long story short ... they claim
the assembly was defective and it fried a module. They can not get the vehicle in gear. Now my TB is sitting on the dealer lot among 60 plus other Chevys awaiting replacement parts. Of course
they are blaming the UAW strike for no estimated delivery on the replacement parts.

I had my oil changed on my 22 tb rs yesterday. They recommended a transmission fluid change for $200. I replied I didn't know it had fluid, just a bunch of belts. He said these belt drive trans will eventually fail and the part is around 4k without labor. I have 10 months to go before I turn this lease back in. Counting down the days. On the other hand, bought a new jeep compass 2 months ago. 2400 miles on it. Had an alternator pulley seize on that. At dealer for 2 weeks now. I believe either I have bad luck or cars are made cheaper every year.

There are several other threads on this forum regarding the "shift to park" problem. My posts are there. Summary - after waiting for the part for 2 months (I kept
vehicle awaiting the part)...came in and the dealer claims it was defective and caused a module to fry - rendering the vehicle totally inoperable. Now been at the dealership for a month and no ETA on the new cable and module. Contacted GM customer support to start a "case" - awaiting a call back. As far as clearing the error message...when I had the vehicle and it was doing that ..just flicking the shifter button always cleared it. Never spent more than a few annoying seconds getting the message to clear the display error message. 2021 RS AWD ...with 16k miles. My dealership is apologetic
and is paying for a rental as all their loaner vehicles were out because of other cars awaiting part due to the GM UAW strike.

A month has passed and no ETA on replacement part. Vehicle inoperable and at dealership. Started a "case" with extremely worthless GM customer service.
Tried to find the component on line and through various part locator sources. Any dealership showing inventory is for their service dept and customer awaiting
up to 3 months for the part. If you bring vehicle to dealership...do not leave while awaiting part. Have them order part and advise when received. Open to suggestions!
