Hey everyone-

does anyone know of a tutorial, link, or an idea of how to remove the grille bar insert? I want to vinyl wrap mine in black.

Probably has clips everything GM is clips, clips, clips and in the stupidest to access spots. Best way to see is take the hood latch cover off should be pretty self explanatory after that but likely some arm contortion.
The accessories site used to have a replacement insert that was all black, that i thought had instructions. but i just went and looked and this replacement grill bar is no longer there. But if i remember correctly, it was just clips that held it in place.
Weird that it has disappeared from their site for ordering. Here is a pic from Ebay. It shows all the fastening points. It looks like it snaps into place. Shouldn't be too difficult.
Black version is P/N 42712434

It looks easier then it likely is. Getting the old one off will be the shit show.
thanks all-I think I can tuck the wrap up into it, and not remove it. We shall see on the weekend, I'll take pictures.

I attempted it-biggest fail ever haha I've wrapped a few things and that was by far the hardest. I pulled it all off because it was shot
This is what the grille looks like removed from the front end. Might help give some insight on what needs to be done. Picture is from an Ebay sale.

So how hard was it to remove that? Time and tools I have. Because I really dont want to pay the dealer to install it.

I didnt try, BUT you can see most of the clips. I would say if you have patience and the right tools, it will be ok. Just dont mangle any clips.

I'll probably do this at the same time I replaced by vinyl emblems with the actual chevy badges. Wife paid for the black bowtie badges so why not.
