Has anyone put an LT 8 or 10 ply tire on their Trailblazer?
Only BFG, GOODYEAR, HANKOOK, & YOKOHAMA make an LT in this size.
From specs I see they are about a 1" more diameter.
Should it change settings?
Thanks.

LT's will ride rough on the Trailblazer, but they'll still work as long as the diameter is the same as stock. There currently isn't any way to change tire size in the computer so running any tire with different diameters will throw off the speedometer and mileage. It's also worth mentioning that GM can void your warranty if you install tires that are the wrong diameter since it affects overall mileage and engine/transmission performance. Alot of owners have switched out the factory tires for some good AT tires which is the route I would go if I needed a more aggressive tire.

Thanks for your response. If you lived in Rural Nevada where I travel over a hundred miles on dirt, desert roads, all the time, a rough ride is normal.
I put 235/60/18 on my 18 Equinox AWD from when the factory tires were wore out at about 23k.the stock was 225/60/18, it had no mile or speedo issues. The change is very minor.
I just wondered if anyone was really using their TB off-road. That's one reason I bought and ACTIV. It's Chevys off-road Trailblazer, off-road suspension, metal skid plate, 8" ground clearance, bigger L3, with Chevy's Bullitt proof 9 SP, Auto. That has super low gears in 1-4th gear.
Our 18 Equinox AWD 2.0t 9 Sp has 123k. As long as you service them reg, there Bullitt proof.
