Hey Everyone,

I'm pretty new here. Purchased a 2021 Trailblazer RS and it's been a wild ride so far. A quick backstory - When I test drove the car it was filthy and rainy out, so I didn't get a clear look at the body. There were only 2 of its kind left for sale in Ontario so I signed the papers that day. Day of pick-up the dealership called to tell me there were 50+ hail dents -- so nice of them to disclose this after I signed. I picked up my car and brought it back a week later for them to remove the dents - it took about 5 days. Along with the hail, both roof rails were completely scratched and are getting replaced), the rubber caps above my driver side windows (front and back) need replacing as well, and now my passenger side window because the dent removal tool scratched it. So needless to say, it's been a stressful new car experience.

I had my windows ceramic tinted and hood wrapped with PPF the other day and noticed that the tint guys damaged the interior panel on the passenger door (picture below). Is this easy to fix or replace? And in your opinion, is it worth it? It's very noticeable during the day, not as bad in the evening.

Boy, that is almost not worth bothering about but it depends on your level of OCD? I bet a replacement for the panel would be at least several months out? Some sort of repair black pencil/paint might at least make it look better?

That is one thing I hate about these TB's is the good amount of plastic in them. I would just rub off the part that is scruffed with you finger, black pen it as said and be done. Good chance eventually it would get scratched anyway. Or order another and wait for it to come in.
talk about a run of bad luck. So the hail damage happened while the car was at the dealer???? That repair will show up on carfax most likely. When you go to sell down the road it could read MODERATE HAIL DAMAGE. I have a Challenger that got hit in the rear and it says moderate rear end damage though I can't tell. It does hurt value of the vehicle.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new Trailblazer. The tint shop is responsible for covering the damage they did. Show them the damage and have them work with your dealership to get the trim piece replaced.

let's hope that shop is cool and does take care of that. Would not be surprised if they try to wiggles out of it.

My OCD is definitely through the roof, but I think I'm going to give black pencil/paint a try and worst case, just replace it down the road.

Completely agree, too much plastic on the TB. Apparently, the hail damage happened during transit when it was crossing into Canada. The dealership told me that it's covered by GM and won't be reported to carfax, so fingers crossed that it's not. I'll probably pull a report just to be sure. They did an amazing job fixing the dents though, now for the rest of the vehicle. lol
