I purchased my 2021 Trailblazer RS last year. I recently read that all new vehicles come with the OnStar Basic plan for free which includes the myChevrolet key fob access. How do I subscribe? Does anyone have this for free?

Unfortunately, I think that is dated information. When I got my Trailblazer I got 3 months of full OnStar access and beyond that it was going to be paid so I cancelled it.

Yup only 1st three months free. Push your blue OnStar button to activate a paid subscription.

I think you have to have basic OnStar plan to keep the remote keyfob access in the app, no?
I know you get the vehicle diagnostics and stuff for 10 years at no extra charge.

I don't have an onstar subscription and my remote keyfob works. I've had the Tblazer for 7 months so my free trial is over.

thats interesting, i have been under the impression you needed at least the connected vehicle package for remote fob. so i have been paying for that since 2018 when i had a Trax

I just got the app from the app store (apple) and signed in using the same email I receive Chevy's email on. The Tblazer automatically popped up.

I didn't even get the app until after my trial subscription expired. It works great.

I had to pay $14 a month for the key fob in the chevy app last winter.
I added it in december and let it go when it got warmer. I just want to be able to heat my car before I go out, I work nights and its cold at midnight and I am too far from the car to remote start from in the bldg

I just checked, the app is offering onstar service from now until april 14th for zero $$. Then on april 14th you will start to be billed $39.99 a month. Can cancel anytime. Does require a credit card on file. I just ordered.

IDK. I just downloaded the app and it works. I never gave them or onstar a credit card. Maybe it will stop in April. We will see.
