I bought a set of the OEM roof rails. There are eight rubber plugs in the rails that are for the screws on the cars rails that you will need to pull out to screw in the rails. I’ll post pics if your interested.New owner of an LS with a naked roof. Curious if anyone knows anything about getting roof rails installed. Would like to easily transport my kayak.
Thanks!

The L, LS, and LT models do not have the front to rear railsI thought all models had roof rails (the ones that go from front to back). With those, the installation of the factory cross-bars is very simple and I would recommend you avoid paying the dealer to do it unless you are very unsure of your abilities. I'd agree that if you don't already have the front-to-back rails (not sure what to call them), installation would probably be more difficult and best left for the dealer.

So, your roof is naked, meaning no side rails or 2 perpendicular bars?I found all the required pieces for install of the side rails

Mine is naked yes and I’m assuming the OP’s is as wellSo, your roof is naked, meaning no side rails or 2 perpendicular bars?
These look great. Could you provide a link for them or where I can find them?Yea it’s a bit more involved than what I’m comfortable with doing. It looks like there are some rivets that need to be installed from the bottom of the roof. I’ll pass on that. My aftermarket cross bars designed for a naked roof do work pretty well even though they aren’t as clean looking.![]()
