What mileage do you have on your Trailblazer currently and what has the experience been like so far?

We currently have 4200 miles and haven't had any problems except for a random "service" msg or two. Overall we are still happy with our Trailblazer and have no regrets at all. One thing I really want to upgrade is the wheels. Not a fan of the RS wheels and not really sure why, lol. I actually like the look of the LT wheels the best, followed by the Activ wheels, but we'll probably go aftermarket when the time comes.

Just over 5200mi. Now myself. No major issues aside from the service messages has anyone else been annoyed with the rev hanging where it will stick at 3 to 4k longer then it has any reason to?

What engine and transmission do you have? These engines behave differently depending on which transmission they're hooked up to plus there is a big difference in powebands between the 2 engines. The 1.2 reaches peak torque almost 1000 rpm later than the 1.3 which requires a higher rpm band and shift points. I never got to test drive a CVT Trailblazer, but I've had CVT transmisions before in other vehicles and never liked them due to them holding higher rpms. It seems like GM engineers intentionally made these 3 bangers operate at higher rpms probably because they don't like to be lugged down at lower rpms. 3 cylinder engines by nature have bad vibration problems at lower rpms so keeping the rpms up helps smooth everything out. I'm still impressed how peppy these engines are for their size.

About 5100 right now.

1.3 RS Model I have some idea of the issues involved and agree with your assessment it just sounds horrible when your driving and it makes the noise like your holding the gas all the way down parked. I think this is primarily a result of the 3 cylinder engine and way to many gears with the 9 speed automatic transmission with how high GM factory tuned these to hang to try and stay in the powerband. The problem happens when the transmission doesn't shift because of shitty safeguards or shift points you lose all the torque but the engine HP Is still going so it never gets a chance to shift and self correct properly. Mostly notice this getting on the highway or taking a corner fast and and accelerating off of it.

Just over 4100 miles so far, no problems yet. Oil was changed at 2600 miles and will be changed again at 5000 and then every 5K after that. So far I have not had any of the "service messages".
I would say I am very pleased with my Activ. But if I was to complain about something it would be the low beam headlights it seems like the cut off of is too low but yet I still get flashed.

Just got to 1,800 miles. Thus far the issues I’ve had or found is: An ESC power steering malfunction alarm just after starting remotely and getting in and driving off. We parked, turned it off and then turned it back on to see the message had went away.
There seems to be a shudder, random, but a low rpms/idling. Might be variable of the 3 cylinder and the turbo, which I’m sure has to have some exhaust restrictions as it is all stock still. Purely speculation.
Another issue is brakes sounds like a crybaby, in reverse, creeping speed and up to 5 mph. Super annoying
Lastly, the headlamps are awesome, but also very bright, not flashed but other divers but im sure it’s only a matter of time.

We are closing in on 9k miles since last June when we got it.

My car just reached 5555 mile stone!

Through my time with this car I’ve noticed during car washes it is a pain to dry as there’s water just everywhere especially the roof lines holds a lot of water.

As far as driving the little motor can handle and throws wait around no problem I’m not winning any races but definitely looking cool getting to the next red light.

I bought the vertical net for the cargo space and I like it it’s great it’s the best use of my GM rewards points we’ve also had a couple service days they checked out the ESC power steering issue sound no issue another than that waiting for my next service.

500

PS I’ve been pumping premium fuel which helps with the engine knock and turbo lag ;)

Like brownactive I'm nearing 9k myself. Finally getting the wiring harness for the trailer hitch installed. Then roof racks and some form of cargo basket. I'm guessing a little 4x6 utility trailer is about all this will reliably handle.

Just passed 12k miles today! So far, things have been great. We've driven from Arkansas to California and back, which included some severe wind, snow, and ice conditions. And the seats weren't even uncomfortable for 12-hour shifts of driving!

The TB has also dealt amazingly well with our most recent 8 inches of snow, performing well in fresh snow, packed roads, ice, etc. I very much appreciate the ground clearance versus even other AWD crossovers I've owned in the past. In most adverse conditions I've faced, this vehicle performs as well or better than any other I've owned: AWD, FWD, or 4WD.
No doubt, there are severe situations where other vehicles are more capable. But this TB can handle all conditions that 95% of people should be driving in anyway.

The only issue we've had with the TB so far: A rubber seal came loose from around the moonroof during some severe cross-winds (so strong they were flipping trailers on the highway). We were able to easily pop it back into place (while on the highway shoulder) and have had no issues since. We've also been through high-pressure car-washes since then and haven't had any leakage issues.

I wondered how these like going through car washes.

I generally avoid the dryer/blower, though, as it flexes the hood. 😬
Its at the end of a automated wash, can't avoid it. ha haha

I remember 310 miles. ha ha
Yeah I'm at 149km on mine lol. Riding out these gross spring melting weeks with my Hyundai.
I'm at 1300. I'm wondering what the service messages are you guys are referring to? Is this a warning light or what? Is it something I should be expecting?
