I did some research trying to find a K&N air filter and cabin air filter for our Trailblazers. When I did the cross reference search on K&N's web site I found this info. The factory cabin air filter for the 2021 Trailblazer is AC Delco CF185 which is the same as K&N VF2071. The factory air filter is AC Delco A3251C, but I couldn't find a K&N air filter to cross reference, so it appears the cabin air filter is all we can get right now from K&N.

When you were cross referencing did you try the 2020 Buick Encore GX? I believe they are the same platform/drivetrain.
Yes, the 2020 Buick Encore GX has the same air filter as the Trailblazer AC Delco A3251C, so no luck there.

I found an AC Delco parts site that shows what other vehicles share the same parts and it looks like the airfilter for the engine is unique to the TB’s and Encore GX, so it will probably be some time before K&N has one developed.

Yeah I've already bugged K&N a few times. It seems alot of these aftermarket companies have slowed down development due to covid which is understandable. I've also contacted a few exhaust companies to get things rolling, offering my Trailblazer as a test vehicle, so we'll see what's happens. I just want some fun parts to put on, lol.

Popped into this thread as a new GX owner, if i hear anything (as someone working in a parts store) I'll let you guys and gals know. We're all in the same boat here

And as far as the exhaust goes the GX has the huge muffler in the rear where as the resonator on them is almost muffler sized compared to other vehicles so I'm looking into having that deleted here as well

the K&N websight now has the cabin air filter for sale, as with amazon
Just not the engine air filter itself unfortunately, I've tried cross referencing STP and AcDelco part numbers (Sa50113 & A3251C respectively) and got no hits, so the next best idea is to try to find something with a similar shape at work for myself the see if they actually are anywhere relative to a fit

you are right, but it wont be long till the engine air filter comes out...
They will only make the engine air filter if there is enough demand. Our air filter is an odd shape that's only shared with the Buick Encore GX which doesn't help. I suggest we all bug them and ask for one to be made or they might skip making one all together. The cabin air filter is shared with a lot of other vehicles including my 18 ZR2. I let them know last year the cabin air filter fits the Trailblazer.

I'm currently looking into a cold air/ short ram intake system, so far I found there's a few foreign vehicles that appear to have a similar mass air flow housing I've ordered one in come in here within the next week or two and if that fits I'll be letting you guys know if anyone wanted to go that route. I also plan on looking more into the dimensions of the filter as K&N as a Dimensions fit filter finder option.

I will definitely be interested in this. I am a huge fan of cold air intakes. I keep looking every week hoping that someone has made something.

More then likely it'll be closer to a short ram style just to keep it a little higher in the bay, from what I've seen a few foreign cars seem to have MAF sensors that look similar to those in the trailblazer and encore gx.

I wanna say the one i ordered was either a Nissan or early 00s Honda Accord, went off looks on a custom made one that's about 20$ just to see if it'll fit. Also have the cone style filter coming in here as I'm a person who like the color green so figured why not for an experimental one (another 15-20$). The only thing I'm thinking I'm gonna have to do is possibly add a bracket to hold it up but i have a few sheets of weldable steel at home so there's that (can get them at a local hardware store more then likely).

But everything is probably about 2 weeks or so out till it comes in, with or without the bracket I'll probably put something up to see how it holds up or doesn't hold up.

Unfortunately it looked to me like the 1.4t MAF sensor didn't match up with ours so i didn't run deeper into that at all yet

Here's hoping there's some sort of positive outta this experiment

But also in the meantime, if you already asked K&N I would look into seeing if STP has anything coming out for their premium line since they already have the regular filter and that part number would be sa50113 (AcDelco # is A3251C)
