Nice to belong to this little community!! Bought my Oasis Blue a month ago.
Question: Are both the front grille and molded bar below the hood bowtie made of plastic? Does anyone recommend installing a metal bumper protector because they are fragile? I think I see a gray styrofoam panel in behind the lower grille, as well. I've got the lower end RS if this means anything.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new Trailblazer. Both grill pieces are plastic. There aren't any metal bumper protectors that I've seen so far. The styrofoam behind the front bumper is supposed to be there, it's for crash protection, energy absorber.

What ZR2LIFE said is 100% spot on and welcome to the cult. Very few vehicles have metal front fascias anymore and you went with the RS so getting some kind of extra bumper would involve cutting into said plastic front. It's just the way things are now all plastic and clips.
