Awesome that's good news! I want to change my bulbs too since I think cool white makes cars look a lot more fancy than the warm incandescents, but I definitely wanted to keep that fade on/off because it's also kinda classy haha.

The Diode Dynamics was a little pricey, but so worth it. I had ordered some other LED's on amazon and they didnt work right. but the DD's are perfect (i could be a little biased since they are local)

I've heard similar stories about amazon/ebay ones not working/lasting so I've been with DD's for awhile. I have used them for my last 4-5 vehicles and have had no issues.

yes, i did the back seats. you have to remove the handles to access the bulb. I believe it was 8mm or 9mm socket for the bolts in the handles. I wish i would have taken pictures of that assembly, its kind of a pain to come out.

Did not see a discussion topic but for anyone interested I replaced the five interior lights with pure light (5000k) HP3 style bulbs from Diode Dynamics. Pretty straight forward change out. The only minor pain was taking the rear overhead handles out but nothing serious. I forgot to take a before and after but here is the front. If anyone wants the rear or the trunk just let me know.

I’m curious as to how you did the ones in handles. It seems as the lens doesn’t want to come out. Do you have a pic of the tabs? Or any advice. I did remove the handle.

Yes, as the bulb access is in the back of the unit.

How do you remove the map light cover, it’s hard to remove and I don’t want to break it

Edit: Nvm i got it and looks much better with LED lights

Tip for people wanting to do this, buy as close to factory size 194 for your LED's. There isn't a lot of room to work with in all bulb housings, and if the base of the LED's is fairly large too, it'll likely not make a good connection with the socket. I went with the Sealight LED's from Amazon that are shaped like the 194's with 2 SMD's in them. They aren't an exact match size wise but close enough.

Do the bulbs pull straight out or what? Just got the lense off.

They pull right out, might have to wiggle a little bit but they should pull right out

I just used these 194 HP3 LED Bulbs. Didn't have any issue with any of them not working when I put them in. I included a picture of the front lens removed so you can see where the tabs are. View attachment 731 . View attachment 729

Just installed front Sylvania 6000k and they are amazing. Now to back, I hope will be easy.
