My ac started freezing up on me. I took it to the dealer while frozen and they found issue with evap temp sensor. They replaced that and the vehicle continued to have the same problem. After having a field engineer come in to troubleshoot they found that the heat exchanger was internally bypassing causing the lines to freeze up.
The engineer further found that the vehicle was not equipped with cabin humidity sensor. The engineer advised to change thermal expansion valve and heat exchanger/evaporator and ac lines. Replaced expansion valves and seals. So far so good! We're blowing cold once again.

UPDATE: THIS DID NOT FIX THE ISSUE! IT IS STILL FREEZZING UP. I've had it back for a total of 10 hours and only drove it 50 miles before it froze up again. I'm trading it in. This vehicle has had so many issues since I bought it. First it was an emissions sensor failed. Had to wait for parts for 3 months with the check engine light on. Lost alot of features bc of the engine light being active. Then the brakes stated squealing and that has never stopped. I had 3 dealerships look at them. They all blamed the Florida humidity. Chevy ssquealing bad brake pads. Trailblazers will have squealing brakes until the manufacturer comes up with a different kind. Then after having it for 8 months, the ac started failing. I went to 3 different dealerships again and no one could figure it out. I bought this truck in May of 2021 with 8 miles on it. The brakes started after 3 months. Then the emissions sensor. And now this. I thought the dealership fixed it today but that was a total no go. I'm super disappointed and regret getting this vehicle 100%. What good is a brand new vehicle if the ac doesn't work while living in Florida! If anyone can offer advice I would greatly appreciate it
