I had the annoying service AWD message that your suppose to ignore never had any issues and mine fell victim to the brake module issue that's been fixed for over 1k now no issues.

I just had the "Service AWD" light go on at 1512 miles...purchased in late Sept 2020. VIN ending 30178. My dealer service dept is closed for the weekend. Tried to read the entire thread on this problem and do see the TSB on the retainer ring. Did you take it to the dealer and were told to ignore the message ? Anyone else have the AWD service light issue ?
What was the fix and how long was it at the dealership ? Thanks.

found this on the web (actual under the sister vehicle buick engore gx).

The Service All-Wheel Drive System and or All-Wheel Drive Off
messages may be displayed in the (DIC), Driver Information Center.
Upon a DTC scan check, it might be noted that DTC, C15C9 SYM02 is
set in history and upon the next full ignition cycle the AWD (AllWheel Drive) function will be restored.
If the messages are being displayed, the AWD (All-Wheel Drive)
system will be disabled without an actual fault.
Cause
It was found that there was a software issue with the K47 Rear
Differential Clutch Control Module.
