Please share your choices and experiences for floor mats / liners.

I live in a region that has messy, snowy winters, and the roads are treated with a lot of salt. In the absence of good floor mats, the carpets become thick with crystals and it takes a lot of effort to clean them with hot water & vinegar...and then the car smells like vinegar. I consider floor mats an essential accessory because of this.

I've ordered a front row set of Weathertech liners in cocoa brown. The official Chevy mats and liners look ok, but I prefer the higher side walls and especially the driver's left foot rest on the weathertech liners. Those are areas that still get salty when I use normal mats. I'm hoping the cocoa brown matches the Activ colours well enough, but it can be hard to tell from online images.

I'll share some photographs once they arrive.

Quaid,
Did they tell you when they would ship? When I had emailed Weathertech, I was told they would not be available until October time frame. I don't remember what thread it was in, but someone reported they were available online. I am still waiting to hear from the dealer that they are ready to be picked up

They have not but that'll be an issue for me if it's true so I'm glad you mentioned that. I purchased them as a gift for birthday in mid August...

Realistically October is fine RE protection from road salt...but won't work for my immediate timing requirements. I'll email them to confirm. If there were any warnings of product delay during purchase, I missed them...

It's strange weathertech has had the front set on their web site since at least April yet they have nothing for the rear seats or cargo. The GM mats are really nice, very thick rubber with raised ridges to trap stuff and prevent stuff from sliding around. I have the full set, front and rear seats plus the cargo. I've had weathertech mats in 6 other vehicles and in my current 05 ZR2 and really like them as well. The extra high walls are nice for containing spills, snow, mud, etc. I wish these companies would pick up the pace and start releasing more products. Damn Covid is slowing everything down.

@ZR2LIFE Can you clarify? When I visit Weathertech.ca they show both the cargo liner and the rear row liner as being available:
  • 2021 Chevrolet TrailBlazer FloorLiner - 2nd row - Cocoa brown - Part Number: 4716175
  • 2021 Chevrolet TrailBlazer Cargo/Trunk Liner - Cocoa brown - Part Number: 431369
I elected not to order these because we have a dog hammock over the 2nd row, and we often keep some cheap blue tarps in the cargo area (they have multiple uses).

I just got the Chevy version of the floor mats -- front and rear -- and am pleased although the left footrest is nice on the WT.. I also got the cargo mat with the sections that go up against the seat backs. The mats themselves are fine but the attachment to the seat backs is weak. GM went with the plastic anchors, which are less than ideal to install and the mat for the 60 portion is too heavy for the two anchors to properly support. What I did as a test was to drill a pilot hole followed by a self tapping screw in the middle of the 60 seat mat at the top. It snugged right up. I then replaced the first plastic anchor with a self tapping screw and got the same result. A trip to the hardware store tomorrow for 8 black self taps plus washers and the job will be done right. I went the GM route to take advantage of GM points the dealer gave me at purchase.

Geez, had the thing 5 days and I'm already drilling holes in it . . .

Ooof. Another email today, this one actually in response to my email to them:

Thank you for ordering WeatherTech product and for your email.
We are experiencing a high volume of orders and are currently out of stock on your items.
We are receiving shipments and once your product is received and ready to ship you will be emailed with the courier tracking information.
Unfortunately we can not give a date of arrival as there are still staffing restrictions in manufacturing and shipping.
I repeated the order process on weathertech.ca just to check and there's nothing to indicate that the product is out of stock or delayed. I did use paypal, so they billed me right away. Notification after the fact is delinquent. I wonder if I should start a paypal dispute now, or in 4 weeks...

I ordered WT first and second row mats as well as the cargo mat, though I chose black instead of the cocoa. I selected basic (the cheapest) shipping and also paid with PayPal. My cargo mat arrived within 3 days and the other pieces arrived within a week. I was actually surprised at how quickly everything arrived. I suspect that some colors may be on back-order or are otherwise less available than other colors are, unfortunately.

I'm excited to see how the cocoa looks. Does your Trailblazer have the black/almond butter accents? I really enjoy the fit of the WT floor liners I bought, but the black plastic has an odd shine that makes it contrast a bit too much with lower black plastic trim on the center console. I wonder if the cocoa color works better for that reason.

Get'em a bit dirty and you shouldn't have that problem as much ;) Glad to hear that yours arrived so quickly.

Was the fitment equally good among all of the front seats, back seats, and cargo liner?

It's difficult to compare the fit of the front liners with those in the second row and the cargo area because the front set are made of a different, harder material. The fit in the front is superb. The mats in the middle and back also have good fit, but since they are made of a more flexible material, it's a bit harder to get the edges to line up correctly.

My Weathertechs have arrived. I only have one fitment issue that I don't like, and it is maybe a little petty. The drivers side towards the door sill in one spot sits just a little higher than I would like. I am hoping in time it will relax and set down. Right now I feel like my shoe is going to rub on it while exiting the vehicle. Passenger side fits perfect. Backrow fit perfect.

They look good! If your careful with a heat gun you can persuade them to bend the way you want. I'm picky too, lol.
