It went fairly well, although it took much longer than the 1 hour installation time that the seller advertises. The tail lights were a bear to get removed. Otherwise, not too bad. Tomorrow, I will tackle the lighting wiring.

Wow, that is a nice setup it look like the factory installed. How much weight can you tow with it and can you get a close up of the hitch itself?

The towing is limited to the abilities of the Trailblazer, which for the AWD version is 1,000 lbs. My trailer weighs 400 lbs, so I plan to keep loads to 500 lbs or less. Here is a photo of the hitch on the ground and in position on the car.

Any reason you went with this hitch over the GM option with the bumper cutout and bezzle? We are having the dealer install ours prior to picking it up next week.

What did this end up costing you? In money and time?

I bought this vehicle used. I am a DIY'er. The hitch assembly and wiring kit came to about $320. Took me 2 half-days to install.
