Modern problems require modern solutions.
I wanted a subwoofer but I didn’t want to give up cargo space. So I got a JBL BassHub Pro for $460 US which is probably $700 Canadian.
First thing the spare tire rod isnt long enough. So I went to Fastenal and got a 3 foot long M10 rod for $5. Had to borrow a grinder from a buddy to cut a 12 inch piece off. Installed the new rod and then cut it down to what was actually needed.
So when I called the guy doing the install he said I needed to get an LC2i Pro so I picked up that for $130. The install itself of the sub and lc2i pro was $150.
If they wire one of these in your car tell them not to use the “sub” wiring that is shown on the diagram (non bose) . You will not get audio instead they spliced off the rear speaker input of the amp.
Far as the bass goes it’s supposedly 200 watts. I have it set for maybe 3-4 and its plenty of bass and really fills the car well.
