Thanks, I should be in line soon, but I bought from a very small rural dealer. Thagt may take longer.....
Hopefully it will be soon. Check your myGM website. That’s the way I was notified of recall. I bought from same dealer classification. Located in Bally, PA. Pop of about 1,300 people!

That's great news. The 2023 I reserved that's on the way had a discount ($50?) since it allegedly doesn't have the chip for the heated front seats. It will be interesting to see how quickly I'll be able to get it in mine once I've got it.

Purchased my 2022 in June, just got my recall notice this week as well, still waiting on the chip for the rear parking sensors or parking assist, something along those lines… but happy to get the heated seats as I live in colder area of Canada!

Chips Ahoy Indeed! Got mine installed today. Dealer had allotted 2 hours. I was out of there in 35 minutes. "Butt-warmers" fully functional!
Excellent! I can’t get to my dealer until October 8. I will be sure to wear shorts. So is it the chip and software or just chip install? Best of luck!

Just received from my dealer.
one down, one to go!

RECALL
Heated vented seats retrofit due to chip shortage - Front seats only - Expires october 31, 2025
I too got my recall notice so I called the dealer to set up an appointment to bring it in and get it fixed. They said it will take a couple hours to do the install so be prepared to drop it off or grab some ears while you wait. But they said they had to order the part and that it will be in in 3-5 days and they would call me when it came in. So I guess the parts to fix it are available but not on hand at the dealers office.

Am I correct in assuming if the heated seat chip wasn't installed -- the buttons in the vehicle wouldn't light up?

Mine said it didn't come with the chip ($50 credit), but when I pressed the buttons today, they lit up and I definitely felt them warm up. Had someone sit passenger and they affirmed they felt heat.

Are we both just crazy or is completely possible the '23 LT I got actually had the chip in the first place, despite what the window sticker said?

When my sales rep did the walk around at pick-up, he did indicate the position of the buttons on the dash & the 3 lights did light up, but no heat. I did have this past Saturday, the chip installed and computer refresh. I must say the seats are quite toasty when on.

I am not qualified to determine your sanity however :), anything is possible with GM. It would not surprise me that you have the chip but the paperwork didn't catch up. Best to confirm with your service advisor. Interesting.
