Our 2021 TB Activ has been running reliably for the past year. Today, the MIL activated (check engine light) and my partner drove the TB 3.11 miles back home. She reported no apparent symptoms other than the MIL. I popped in an ODB2 reader and observed DTC "P146F".

Google-fu takes me to:
TSB 21-NA-092 (0.3 hrs labour)
TSB 21-NA-014 (1.0 hrs labour)

Both of these TSB's point to the 1.2L Engine (LIH), whereas our TB Activ has the 1.3L Engine (L3T).

We're two years into the base 3 year warranty, so whatever they need to do should be covered. I really hate dealership service centers, but I think that's where we're headed.

MANY folks here have had this same issue. I have. Easy fix, take to dealer as you said. MAY have to wait for the part. As long as the check eng light is not flashing you are good to keep driving it.

Are you saying that many people have had check engine light (MIL), or that many people have had DTC P146F?

I searched for P146F and found no other threads.

For what it's worth, the dealership said their resolution for this was to reprogrammed the ECM (similar to TSB 21-NA-092). No parts replaced. The code is cleared, the MIL is off, and the code has not yet reappeared.

must be a little diff then mine and others. An Evap system related thing. I know mine was a replaced part, no updated code type of thing.

"The cause of the condition may be a software anomaly that has been root caused to the
use of the OnStar APP remote start function"

So it appears using remote start with the OnStar app is what's causing this problem. This is different than the evap purge pump that alot of owners have been dealing with, but it's interesting that an evap code comes up for this problem too.

The MIL has come back on, and I've got the same email about "An issue with the emissions system ...". I haven't had a chance to use the OBD2 reader yet, but I'm expecting the same code or a similar code.

I really hate dealership service centers.

While the code was slightly different, the problem seems to have been the same as what other people were experiencing.

Here's the technician notes:
  • Faulty purge pump
  • Scantest p146f and p146b, perform diagnostic as per Doc ID 5333129
  • Replace the evap purge pump, clear codes, retest ok.
No problems to report since this second service was done.
