Appreciate the response, I'll check the other threads. It's been discussed on other threads that it is due to the type of brake pads used. Others have mentioned that by replacing them with ceramic pads it fixes the issue.
I hear ya, brand new car and squeaky sound when in reverse... is what it is I guess. My 21 LT does this as well, any time I’m driving slow in drive or reverse. I tried to get them changed and the shop told me they were fine. Chevy says that’s just what the breaks sound like. There’s no way they should be that loud. It drives me crazy.
It is not just what it is. Easy fix.I hear ya, brand new car and squeaky sound when in reverse... is what it is I guess.
Still waiting on the dealership to call me back. A one year old car that sounds like a beater when I’m braking. It is not just what it is. Easy fix.
Really? What did they say? Can’t you just put new ceramic front pads on?Still waiting on the dealership to call me back. A one year old car that sounds like a beater when I’m braking.
I have the same issue. A few months after buying my 2021 Trailblazer in 2021 it keeps squeaking when I back up. Everytime it goes to service I tell them the problem and they say nothing is wrong with it. And I don't get why it should be squeaking already. It’s the semi metallic front pads. Get the ceramic pads I reference in this thread and they will fix the noise.

Rear brakes squealing
First problem I've had with my Trailblazer. I noticed when I back up, my brakes squeal. Doesn't do it in drive, just when I'm backing up. Car only has about 3600 miles on it, no way they should be worn already. Anyone else having the same issue? Could this be related to the brake recall?www.trailblazertalk.com
I had this problem for over 8,000 miles and decided to get to the bottom of this. It appears to be an issue with the parking break. Check if you get the noiss when you leave the parking brake on for a period of time. Try not using the paking brake for a few days. If the noise goes away the issue is the parking brake system. You should be able to have the dealer check for bullitens on the fix. Hope this helps.Lately when backing out of my driveway, my TB brakes squeak, but not all the time. It’s completely random and only happens on a cold start and only when reversing. Has anyone else experienced this?

My TB has been doing the same thing, but it has gotten much worse as of late. I've had multiple people tell me my brakes sound horrible, and that I should get them checked out. Little do they know, I've spent hours at the dealership several times only to tell me its a new coat chevy decided to go with on their brake pads.Lately when backing out of my driveway, my TB brakes squeak, but not all the time.
