So this is the first "new" turbo car I've owned and curious if anyone has tried to put a blow off valve in it yet. I was looking at an HKS SSQV (classic and I love the sound) but not sure if its smart to put one in or not.
I am not sure what is happening with SEMA this year, but I am curious to see if some companies will have any custom TB's on display. Going to this show is one of my bucket list items.Hopefully the aftermarket will catch up and start releasing products for us to customize our Trailblazers the way we like.
So is there just a wastegate and BOV on the TB? Would a better waste gate do any harm? The Trailblazer has an electric wastegate system. How would you integrate a spring loaded blow off valve? As you probably know already turbo engine produce alot of cylinder pressure as the turbo spools up, so you need to be careful how high that pressure gets before you start blowing gaskets or doing harm to the engine. Adding a blow off valve will also completely void your warranty.

Great explanation! 👍It's integrated into the turbo housing and controlled electronically. You can't replace it without replacing the turbo (and the exhaust manifold it's integrated into).
Best you can do with these new turbo vehicles is like everyone else said, air intake to let the natural recirculation more audible.
Thanks for the reply... Great info as well. I thought at some point someone on the forum mentioned they bought a tubed short ram intake system foe the TB, i think they had to make some minor mods to it, but I still have yet to see any available on the martket. It's integrated into the turbo housing and controlled electronically.
