Hey all,

Got in the car today and my carplay and Bluetooth no longer works. I normally connect my iPhone via USB cable and now on my phone it says "Accessory not supported - this accessory is not supported by this device". Bluetooth also does not connect like it normally would and cannot find my phone. Any attempt to connect the vehicle to wifi also does not work.

This same thing happened a couple months back, and I tried all sorts of troubleshooting to no avail. Although I ruled my phone out as the issue, it's definitely something to do with the car electronics. Next day I got in the car and everything worked fine.

I'd like to keep this from randomly happening again since it's such a nuisance, has anyone had experience with this or know how to fix it permanently?

kinda related... but this pixel 6 pro has had tons of bluetooth issues, so i have to occasionally delete the paired phone from the stereo, and delete the saved mychevrolet bluteooth connection in my phone then pair them again. I am certain my issue is the phone as it does it with other bluetooth devices as well. But this will fix it for me for a while.

Mine has always said accessory not supported via sun cable. But Bluetooth works fine. Waze sometimes won’t connect and Google maps sometimes is just blank.

I experience this quite often, I'll share with you some tips that have gotten it back working.

The first and most simple fix I've tried is just restarting the phone I'm using. This is not always a guarenteed success, but it has solved the issue in the past.

Second thing I have tried is removing the phone from the vehicle pairing, then re-adding like a new phone. Again, this has varied success, but has worked.

Last and what I would consider the worst option, is to turn the vehicle off and wait 10-15 mins. I have tried this a few times and it worked. But it's such a hassle just to get CarPlay to work, and if you are that dedicated to spend 15 mins to do so while out or not at home.

I've also called Apple support, they have walked me thru on how to get it connected again.

Such a major pain, very inconvenient with the shoddy connection.

Anyways, hope this helps.

I’m consistently having the same issues with CarPlay. I’ve been experiencing multiple issues with my navigation screen. It frequently freezes and none of the buttons will work, digital or the physical buttons. Doesn’t seem to like working with CarPlay much or any of the map apps that are on my phone. Sometimes my location can be found on a map and sometimes not so much or my position will freeze and not follow along, I can hear directions but no active map to follow along on.
