The steel Activ skid plate does fit the RS for anyone who prefers or needs more underbody protection. The skid plate part number is 42762929 and the bolts are part number 11611334 (looks like 4 are needed, but I'd order 6 to be safe and to have spares). I have found the Activ skid plate or as it is called F-plate on Gmparts now for 65 plus ship.Will be buying one for my TB LT.

Bolt size is 8mm x 1.25 thread pitch x 30mm long for anyone who doesn’t want to pay gm price for a bolt

Got the skid plate and bolts today. Got my local shop set to install it on Jan 4th because I'm not going to crawl/lay on the ground 😉

Slight snag in the process. Went my car dude went to install the skid plate this morning, the 2 rear bolts were fine as there were threaded holes there already. The front two bolts (locations shown below on an Activ model) however were missing the speed nuts in the subframe to screw the bolts into.

It has been a little tricky figuring out what I need (any GM techs out there feel free to help ) but I'll post back when I do.

I haven’t looked underneath but these should work. They are 6mm instead of 8 but they come with spring clips and the bolts. Cheapest I could find in a 5 minute search.

You could probably get the clips at Ace Hardware. Just take a bolt with you and get one that fits both the thickness of the mounting point and the bolt itself. I can't even tell you how many times Ace has helped me with custom projects. If you don't mind waiting you could just order the clips from GM for an Activ model.

Hardware store and Amazon are of course viable options but I'm going to try the GM route if for no other reason than to get GM part numbers.
