GM told me today, due to parts shortage I could be waiting up to a year to get parts

Actually it looked driveable. But once they tore it down, the condenser was punctured. So I could’ve driven it but would not have had defrost. And the possibility of ruining the factory ac compressor

So, I emailed Mary Barra CEO for GM. I filed a formal complaint. Chris from GM Executive called me. Mrs Barra received my email and placed him in charge of making sure my parts are extradited. Chris stated that they will make sure that the parts get here in a couple weeks. Some times it pays to be an A-Hole

Great news. I do NOT think you were an ahole. I MANY times have gone to a company corporate level if I have what I feel is a legitimate complaint. It always helps. Keep us posted, this is interesting.

How did you get her email. My 21tb power hatch opens and closes on its own. Has hit me several times. I need to get higher up the ladder to talk to someone. IT told me to refer to my owner manual. Not happy

What did your dealer say?? They could not recreate the problem?? Do you have this problem while carrying both of these remotes? By this I mean you likely carry the same remote all the time. But if you change your remote fob and instead carry the other one, does the problem still happen?

Been to 2 dealer. The first is where I bought it. They have seen it happen but did nothing but give me a phone number. The 2nd was trying but of course it would not do it for them. The tech said he knew it was a sensor. I Google it and there are many with the same issue.

CALL THIS NUMBER: 1-800-222-1020. This is a GM/Chevrolet customer service complaint department. A recording will ask you to briefly describe why you are calling. Say something like, service department complaint, warranty issue, something like that. They will forward you to a Chevrolet representative from GM, for your area and you can discuss the problem with them. (Perhaps this is the phone number you were given by the dealer for which you said the IT guy gave you no help). If so, call again. Keep complaining. First I would go back to the dealer where I bought it and ask to speak to the dealership manager, not the service manager who gave you no help except a phone number.
Wow, talk about poor service. Especially the first dealer. I suppose you asked to speak to the service department manager. It is unacceptable to just give a phone number. He has a phone, let him dial it! Now with the second dealership if they could not recreate the problem, there really is not much they can do. But here too I would ask to speak with the service department manager and ask them what to do. But back to the first dealership (I assume where you bought it). Every dealership has what is called a business manager, or general manager. Ask to speak with him/her. Gm (Chevrolet) has what are called district managers. They travel, on a predetermined schedule, from dealership to dealership, for business reasons. Tell the business manager your problem. Tell them you did not get service, but were just given a phone number. It is dealership responsibility to check further, not the customers. If no satisfaction tell them you want an appointment with the district manager, or a minimum a phone call with them.
I too did a google search but was not successful as you in finding this is a known problem. Yet there are many on the old style trailblazer but I found none on the new. I searched the technical service bulletins for 2021 or 2022 TB and found nothing on this problem.

That is great news. hope you are happy with it. most body shops, especially at dealers, do amazingly good jobs.
The body shop I went to, I have known the owner for over 30 years. They do excellent work and he knows how picky I am.
