No idea if normal but it doesnt seem to affect anything.. When starting the engine or on auto/start stop it sounds like a weak turn over sound like the vehicle cant start but it starts fine, just describing the sound. Seems like it comes from the back of the vehicle. Does anyone notice this in theirs? It doesnt happen everytime but it does it quite a bit. Just wondering if normal or not. I do have a service appointment for next week for the service engine light that came on but has since gone off so was thinking of canceling. but this noise on startup I was trying to gauge if its normal or not from other owners. I would think I would get some service engine issue if it was an issue. It starts back up fine, its just a strange cranking sound on restart.

Don't cancel the service appnt just because the check light went out. Some event happened that needs looked at.
I have them doing an oil change as well since its in but honestly early on that, I suppose I will bring it upto them while its in as well. just find the cranking sound its making on the odd side. Im guessing the battery is in the back area for auto/stop and its somehow coming from there. I guess I will just have them look it over, just kind of a pain these days as they dont offer cars for loan any longer as they told me they sold them all in this market we are in. They do give a shuttle service and work with enterprise car rental I guess though. I would hope they pay for it if so.

I think you have the right idea. Not much in the rear to make such noise besides the pump.
Definitly not a buzz, unless it just sounds like its coming from the rear. Not seeing anyone stating that theirs make such a noise so Im guessing not normal. Will mention it to them on next weeks visit. This morning it did it much less, there are times it will keep making that turn over noise even after the engine has started back up for a couple of seconds, I find it really odd when it is doing that. Doesnt do that as often though.

Your description of the noise does not sound normal and you should have your Trailblazer checked out for the check engine light. When you take it in mention the noise to them and when it happens so they can diagnose it easier. The only sound I've heard from the back is the feeder fuel pump which sends low pressure fuel up to the high pressure mechanical pump. As other members have pointed out the sound is more of a buzzing noise and it only happens for a few seconds before you start the car or first time opening a door it will also prime.

Im starting to wonder if its my driving habits and the battery is really low on juice, as of yesterday I noticed the noise much less as we are later in the week, my trailblazer usually sits from Friday to Monday and Im now wondering if its low on juice at that point. You would think something like that would show up on the dash if that was the case though.

You can leave your car sit for a lot longer than 2 or 3 days and not have battery loss. I've left my car in the airport parking lot, in the dead of winter, for 2 weeks, got in it after I cleaned off the snow and it started immediately. By the way just driving lets say to and from work about 5 or 10 miles each way hardly comes close to charging up your battery.

After it sits for a few days check the voltage with a multimeter. It should be at least 12.3 v. Anything less than 12v means you need a new battery and it would be a good idea to check the alternator voltage as well to make sure its charging properly. The alternator charges around 13.5 v to 14.0 v.

Of course I am about to bring it in tomorrow and the turn over noise is all of a sudden not happening hardly at all, it had been pretty consistant over the last few months, Ugh. I will let them know anyways, maybe they can check voltages.

Talk about poor service, I go in for my scheduled appointment, They show the code in there but the light has gone off. Ok fine, get back to his service desk, we can shuttle you to a location but getting to your vehicle is 1 to 3 days. So what good is a shuttle? So I tell them I need a car, oh we dont do loaners anymore and you have to pay for the rental car, WTF is this crap? Probably $40 a day, for me to wait for them to get to my trailblazzer, bs. Really poor experience, I hope they are not all going this way, I told them forget it, the car is running and the light has gone off, I guess GM can pay to come and get me when it breaks down. Come on GM or maybe its my dealer! Do BETTER.

It has long been the case that loaner cars are not given. Some individual dealers may do it, on their own (not via GM) but it is not common any more. It still is available for certain brands such as Lexus, Mercedes, etc. Not Chevrolet. It seems if it is going to take 1 to 3 days to get your car completed they must be waiting for a part(s)? If so, I would think they would giver you your car back and call you when the part comes in (unless it is a safety concern). Another problem the dealers are having is that even if the individual dealer, at his own expense, wants to supply a car (unusual and not common any more) take a look at the lot. There are no cars to loan! When dealers did loan a car it was typically a used one (they didn't put brand new stock on the road) or one of the cars a salesman was driving (even that is changing a salesmen are NOT getting new cars to drive as demonstrators, due to supply problems).
Welcome to 2022, things are changing. Check with your insurance policy, some cover loaner cars, but usually it is only for service required as part of an accident.

Thats all new by me, last time I had my car in at the dealer probably 2 years ago I got a loaner. They didnt do anything with it because I ended up taking it as I didnt want to spend possibly $120 waiting on them to get to it after scheduling the appointment for today. The code was P129F, it might explain the noise I am getting from what sounds like from the rear. as its some sort of fuel pump thing. I would think it would stay on though. Irratating is all I can say. I would have been ok taking the shuttle if they would have gotten to it today. but he wasnt telling me that was going to happen. Will see if I get the light again anytime soon and go from there I guess.
