The 2021 Trailblazer release date is "early 2020," according to Chevrolet USA.
A month after debuting the all-new Trailblazer to the world at Auto Shanghai 2019, Chevrolet confirmed that "the new Trailblazer is expected to start arriving at dealers in early 2020" with pre-orders beginning around fall 2019.
Like the Chevrolet Trax and Buick Encore GX, the Trailblazer will be built at GM's facilities in South Korea and exported to the U.S.
Once here it will be priced between the Trax and Equinox. Trax will sell alongside the new Trailblazer. Steady sales (Q1 2019 had some of the best months) might have something to do with it.Some sources suggest the Trailblazer will eventually replace the Trax.
Launch trims should be LS, LT, Premier and RS. "Trailblazer Activ" was trademarked back in May 2019, likely for an off-road focused trim but its too early to tell if Activ will join the rest on launch day. Demand has been growing for off-road models in recent years.
Among those trims, expect to see turbocharged engines offered like the turbocharged 1.4-liter (150 hp) and 2.0-liter (230 hp) to offered in the 2020 Buick Encore GX and other GM products.
Stay tuned as more information will be released in the coming weeks and months.
